1. INTERNET 

This is the world-wide network of computers accessible to anyone. The internet is a global system of interconnected computer networks. Internet is global communication accessed through the Web. Internet is global communication accessed through the web. 

2.INTRANET :

An intranet network is only available to a small group of people. Intranets are mainly used within business and organizations to provide access to files and applications among networked computers and servers. Intranets may or may not have access to the internet. If an intranet does connect to the internet, a firewall is used to prevent outside access to the intranet. The purpose is to allow people within the same company to share information over a local area network. It is sometimes referred to as a private internet. This is a network that is not available to the world outside of the intranet. If the intranet network is connected to the internet, the intranet will reside behind a firewall and, if allows access from the internet, will be and extranet.

3. EXTRANET:

An extranet is similar to an intranet, but is accessible via a web portal. An extranet may be accessed from anywhere if the user has a valid user name and password. The purpose of this type of network is allow collaboration and sharing of resources not only in-house but with a select group of outside users. Extranet is an intranet for outside authorized users using same internet technology. Enable outsiders to work together with company's employees. Open to selected suppliers, customers & other business partners.

Write the difference between internet and intranet. 

- Internet is an open system of global network that is available for all without any restriction while intranet is available to limited users of an organization or group. 

- Intranet is more secure than internet because by developing an intranet network system, Organization ensures the security of its network system. On the other hand accessing any information on internet is not difficult today

- internet can be accessed without having any special account while user account is the first important condition in case of intranet.

-  Internet has no hard and fast rules for usage while there is a complete organizational policy behind the setup of intranet.

- The number of users in internet are unlimited while in intranet they are limited.

Write the difference between intranet and extranet:-

- An intranet is owned by a single group while an extranet extends to users outside the group

- Intranet users have more access to recourses than extranet users

- Intranet do not usually go through the internet while typical extranets do 

- Intranets are easier to secure than extranets.
